Step 7 Add Video, Audio, or Downloadable Files

S3 Media Maestro uses [shortcode] to embed the audio/video player. At the top of each page, or post editor you will see 2 buttons that look like:

Video - To add video:

  1. click on the Add Audio/Video Player button
  2. Select either S3 Video (for video protected hosted on Amazon S3) or Non-S3 Video (for unprotected video hosted in a different location). If you select the S3 Video option then simply type in the name of the video with the file extension (myvideo.mp4). If you select Non-S3 Video, then type in the full URL to the video (http://mydomain.com/myvideo.mp4).

    ***Note - The S3 Bucket, S3 Expiry, S3 Access Key and S3 Secret Key fields are optional, and are only necessary if you want to overwrite the default settings. 
  3. Next click on the Player Options tab. All of these options are optional. The player width and player height fields can be filled in to overwrite the default width and height. If you have a splash image, insert the full URL. You can choose to auto play, loop playback, hide the affiliate link, or make the video responsive. There are 3 skins to chose from. The volume default is 80%, but can be changed. Lastly you can chose to auto load the video, auto load the meta data only or not to auto load. Then click the Insert Player Button and the shortcode will be inserted for you.

Audio - To add audio:

  1. click on the Add Audio/Video Player button
  2. Select either S3 Audio (for audio protected hosted on Amazon S3) or Non-S3 Audio (for unprotected audio hosted in a different location). If you select the S3 Audio option then simply type in the name of the audio with the file extension (myaudio.mp3). If you select Non-S3 Audio, then type in the full URL to the audio (http://mydomain.com/myaudio.mp3).

  3. Next click on the Player Options tab. All of these options are optional. Protected File - To add a protected file:

  1. click on the Add S3 File Download button
  2. Type in the name of the audio with the file extension (myfile.pdf). 

    ***Note - The S3 Bucket, S3 Expiry, S3 Access Key and S3 Secret Key fields are optional, and are only necessary if you want to overwrite the default settings. 
  3. Next click Link Options. You can add your anchor text, link attributes such as a CSS handle, and whether or not you want to open file in a new tab. Then click Insert Shortcode and the shortcode for your protected file will be inserted.
